French Prairie is known for its natural beauty, which includes a variety of wildlife. Unfortunately, our area is experiencing destruction of habitat and unlawful killing of wildlife by poachers. In addition to taking wildlife, poachers often commit theft and other property crimes, and OSP Wildlife Troopers are asking for the public’s help.
French Prairie residents can turn the tables on these criminals by reporting suspicious activity to police, and turning in poachers to the Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division. Citizens who turn poachers may be eligible for cash rewards, too.
