Two Day Traffic Enforcement Operation On French Prairie Roads Results in 146 Citations In 8 Hours.

On May 20 and 21, the Marion County Sheriff’s Traffic Team conducted enforcement operations in the French Prairie area for four hours on Monday morning, and again on Tuesday afternoon.  The operation resulted in 106 total traffic stops and 146 citations and 15 warnings. 

The Sheriff’s Office released the following statistics from the enforcement operation:  93 total citations for speeding, with 20 citations of those for speeds between 75-90 miles per hour, and 17 citations for no operator’s license or driving while suspended. 

The enforcement operation was funded by a grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation.
