The City of St. Paul and the St. Paul Rodeo Association have been negotiating a new operating agreement for the St. Paul Rodeo Arena Complex under which the Association would manage the facility on behalf of the City. An agreement in principle has been reached and both organizations agreed that the next step in the process will be to seek public comment on the draft agreement, which up to this point has been confidential.
At tonight’s City Council meeting, the Council voted 3 to 0 to release the draft agreement to the public and accept written public comment until January 1, 2020. Councilors Amaya-Medina and Sellers were absent from the meeting. The draft agreement will be posted on the City’s website at 10am December 12th.
After reviewing public comment received during the comment period, the Council will discuss next steps at the January 8th regular monthly meeting.
