Woodburn Woman Indicted For Witness Tampering and ID Theft.

Woodburn PD Press Release: February 28, 2020 – Woodburn, OR –  Woodburn resident Melinda Avila was arrested on Thursday, February 27, 2020 on a Marion County Grand Jury secret indictment charging her with two counts of felony Witness Tampering and one count of felony Identity Theft. The charges are in connection to a child sexual assault case currently being prosecuted by the Marion County District Attorney’s Office.  Based on that Grand Jury Indictment, the Marion County Circuit Court issued an arrest warrant for Avila.

Avila, 48, was arrested without incident by Woodburn Police Detectives and lodged at the Marion County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail. Her next appearance date is March 12, 2020.
